Wood Dunnage for Stable Loads
Dunnage is placed beneath, between, or around products to create separation, distribute weight, prevent movement, and protect surfaces during storage, handling, and transportation. The right dunnage depends on the load dimensions, weight, contact points, handling method, transportation environment, and level of support required.
Royal Wood Products supplies blocking, bracing, spacers, separators, load supports, and other cut-to-size wood components. Dunnage can be produced from hardwood or softwood such as pine, depending on the application and required strength.
Cut and Built for the Application
Dunnage can be supplied in standard dimensions or cut to custom lengths, widths, and thicknesses. Configurations may include individual blocks, boards, spacers, wedges, layered supports, or built assemblies designed around the product or load.
Custom dunnage is well suited for machinery, fabricated components, metal products, industrial equipment, crates, trailers, containers, and other shipments requiring controlled support. Heat-treated material is available when qualifying solid-wood dunnage must meet international-shipping requirements.
